Last year, it was cold on the 4th. Come to think of it, it stayed in the 70s most of my stay in Seattle. This year, however, we've had two weeks of really, really sunny weather. The first one was apparently a heat wave that coincided with us moving to the state, and the second one was this past week.
One of the most annoying occurrences that I therefore was spared last year was that whole phenomena where I can't seem to go outside for more than five minutes without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Ah, mosquito-free summers. You were nice while you lasted.
This will definitely put a damper on my plan to get around strictly by biking or walking. At least until Monday.
