We moved to our new apartment (our final destination for the next 12 to however many more months) on Friday. It's in a complex in lower Queen Anne with a view of the Sound. I'll probably spend the next week or so just unpacking stuff from its boxes (you don't realize how much stuff you own until you have to unpack it all), and continuing to send out resumes and all that jazz.
The cats did not take to our new move that well. For one, Boris was really pissed at me for a day or so (he stopped being pissed once Chris re-assembled and set up their favorite cat tree near a window), and Gracie was weirded out the most by it because it's her first big move (Boris has been moved about 3 times now, it's old hat to him), and she yowls at night whenever she can't see either one of us or Boris. This is big because she was my quiet kitty (Boris is the yowler of the two).
Today we'll have a test on how noisy our new neighborhood will be. There's a Gay Pride Parade scheduled today, and people have been arriving and setting up for it for the past two hours. I don't mind the traffic or the noise. But hearing Donna Summer as clear as day coming in from the balcony is a little annoying. :-/
